First day in Saint Petersburg

After our host was coming home from work, we went together to the “Christophski-Island”. On this Island is an amusment-park and they are building a football stadium for the world cup 2018. We walked through the park and later back next to the river. Like this we got a first impression of the city. We had to leave the island before 12, because the bridges open at night, so that boats can pass through them. We ate something small and went back home with the last metro.

It all started last August 4, the day we left Barcelona. As mentioned, we had to catch a bus at 13h, we happened to leave home at 12: 40h. Rapidly we toke a bike and pedaling like crazy we went to the station where we arrived, luckily, seven minutes before the bus departure. Once seated, we enjoyed the 8h journey until reaching the airport. Despite arriving an hour before we started foolishly to talk sitting in a corner where we literally just waisted our time, what we did not know until we decided check-in in one of these machines and as we wanted to check-in the second luggage we couldnt do so… Read more

To have the tent always with us gives us the chance, to sleep at any possible place. The amount of parks, grass places and fields, where we theoretically can build our tent is infinite. When we thinkt, where already slept, it seems impossible, to have been brave or lucky enough, to having slept at these places.

We actually wanted to go already last year to Russia, but we realized too late how complicated it is (and how much time you need) to get a visa for Russia.

This year it had to work out!

We asked for a Touris visa. A tourist visa is valid for30 days and you can chose between being able to enter russia in this time once or twice.

I started already in Barcelona to check for possibilities to get the visa for us.
